La más reciente entrega del reiterado candidato al Nobel y autor de culto Haruki Murakami, «De q hablo cuando hablo de escribir»: un puñado de refrescantes ensayos en los cuales reflexiona en torno a la literatura, autores y elementos del oficio.
Mientras q, «Conversación en la niebla» es el primogénito q recoge narraciones y poemas de quien a mediados de los 80 llegó al mundillo literario universitario como la rebelde Ariel Frida.
Por su largo (pero fecundo) silencio, se diseminó la idea de q ella sólo era un fantasma.
Estos artefactos de feroz catadura desmienten la mala leche q negaba su existencia y componen el viaje a la belleza mediante el cual salta al ruedo la voz de Glendalys Marrero Torres. Enhorabuena.

¡Hola Mme Marrero Torres! I received the book from Carmen as a surprise and, though curious, laid it aside after a glance at the back cover. I was reading too much already on cultural psychology, Heidegger (imagine!), modern political philosophy, but even Beckett’s «Molloy» and the collected works of Hunter Thompson. Books are important in my old-school life! That said, I took up your book when Carmen asked me what I thought of it… It took me by storm, so to speak, and I have been reading it since. An excellent work! I have not got to the poetry yet, which I’m looking forward to, but I found the style of the prose work alluring – poetic, in motion, unstoppable, prodding, quirky, and not without apprehension. If I had to put a label on it I would coin «neo-Absurdism», for it reminds me of Beckett himself, yes, but even of Pessoa and the lesser known avant-garde Soviet writer Daniil Kharms, whose book I stumbled upon at Barnes & Noble in New York’s Union Square a few years back. The future looks bright, indeed, Glendalys. How cool! I thank you for the dedication and wish you continued success. Looking forward to meeting you and having a long chat when in the «isla del encanto» once again. Let me get through the poetry, first… Allt gott! (Swedish, akin to «All the best!)

Glendalys, quiero volver a decirte que tu literatura aquí es un collar de cuentas encontrado, una tradición gravada en piedra, y a la vez una cosa que se mueve, un cintillo que vibra. Es la cosa densa y fluida a la vez. La cosa que ocupa espacios varios y todos los estados a la vez. El romance, el deseo de la cosa y por la cosa.
(Puedo apretar o pulsar en estas palabras unidas en lo denso y entonces desencadenar ecos: una imagen teselada que reverbera en el campo visual, en la yema de los dedos. Leerte es sentir ese eco que tu palabra desencadena.)
